Holiday Club Assistant - Zero Hours

To cover all or any of our Little Downsend Schools Holiday Clubs in Ashtead, Epsom and Leatherhead (EYFS)
Starting July 2024

We are looking to increase our bank of zero hours both qualified and unqualified Holiday Club assistants to maintain the effective running of the school’s Holiday Clubs. This is a fully flexible role and requires no commitment to particular days – it does require a commitment to our safeguarding and Health and Safety training which is provided through our online portal.

As a zero hours member of staff, you may be asked in advance, or on the morning regarding availability to cover a Holiday Club assistant role. If you are available, great! If not, that is also fine. If you only have particular availability, that is fine – just let us know and we will only contact you for those days.

Early Years Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start in September to work with our team at Little Downsend Ashtead. Working hours will be Monday – Thursday (7.45-6pm) term time in our 2-3 year old classroom. This is a permanent role. Ideally you will have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years & Childcare, although we are open to unqualified candidates with relevant experience.

There is also the opportunity to work flexibly during school holidays in our holiday club. Downsend School offers very competitive rates of pay within the sector.

Early Years Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for a qualified, EYT/EYPS/L6/QTS practitioner to
teach a First Steps (2-3 yr old) class at Little Downsend Leatherhead. Our teacher
will have experience with this age range and understand the
compliance and learning and development needs and requirements
of working with EYFS children.

Facilities Assistant - Part Time

We are looking at creating a new team of Facilities Assistants at Downsend School. The successful candidate will be required to carry out a range of duties in relation to the maintenance and security of the premises and will involve liaising with external hirers.
Working hours can be flexible and agreed at interview. This is an evening and weekend role.
