Here are just a few exciting dates for the diary:
We are delighted to welcome back Amanda Beaumont and her team of LTA tennis coaches, who will be running three separate week long tennis camps in the mornings of the following weeks:
Monday 15 July to Friday 19 July for ages 6 – 10 years
Monday 22 July to Friday 26 July for all ages from 6 years upwards
Monday 5 August to Friday 9 August for all ages from 6 years upwards
Marie Seivewright will be running her ever popular swimming lessons open to all ages and abilities for 4 afternoons from Monday 22 July to Thursday 25 July.
Our Wednesday Special Days will be back with a variety of themed days, different activities, decorations and food.
Wednesday 17 July – Olympic Day – join us to celebrate the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with a day full of unique Downsend Plus games, races, medals, prizes and much much more!
Wednesday 31 July - Shrek Day – join us in the land of Far Far Away to meet Shrek and his friends. There will even be a special appearance from Donkey who will be bring his friends along for rides across the Downsend School field.
Wednesday 14 August – Wild West Day – Yee Haw Cowboys and Cowgirls. Take a trip across the pond for an all American adventure, get your cowboy hat ready and saddle up!
Wednesday 21 August – End of Summer Party – Not quite the end of the holidays but let’s party and enjoy our last Wednesday special for this summer, with surprises galore!
DownsendPLUS!
Our 'fantazmagorical' holiday club offers over 50 different courses to children from Year 1 and up. We go over and above to exceed expectations, giving children the chance to experience everything from scuba diving, to tennis, to rifle shooting to zip wires, pond dipping and archery. There’s baking, arts and crafts, ballet – plus painting, golf, watersports and tie dye.
This all-singing, all-dancing holiday club is available for both children from Downsend and within our local community.

Early YearsPLUS!
Our younger children from First Steps to Reception can enjoy holiday club with their friends at Little Downsend Leatherhead. We have built upon our highly successful DownsendPLUS scheme and offer a dedicated childcare facility during the school holidays for younger children from 8am to 5:30pm. We provide a happy, caring and supportive environment for the children, opening their eyes to new opportunities and the chance to try new things.
The practical details:
A full day runs from 8am to 5:30pm
Hot lunch and afternoon tea included
A period for rest is built into the day
Run by experienced and highly qualified staff who are involved with the teaching in term time
Every week is themed, from 'The Beach' to 'Summer Foods' which guides our activities, our menu and our stories:
Arts and Crafts
Cookery
Outdoor play on the trikes, scooters and bikes
Fun in the field and in the soft surface play area
