We’re thrilled to announce that Downsend Junior School earned the Silver Rights Respecting School Award! UNICEF UK has granted us this recognition for significant progress in embedding children’s rights within our school policy, community, and culture through daily practices and the school’s ethos. We continue actively promoting awareness of the convention, cultivating global citizenship and our students becoming advocates for fairness and children’s rights both locally and globally. This achievement is a testament to the dedicated collaboration of our staff and pupils, we are very proud and we are now working towards our Gold Award.
