The curriculum in Years 7 and 8 builds on the solid foundations put in place in the Junior years, and begins to add increased specialism and depth. It sets the trajectory for GCSE preparation from Year 9 whilst also affording pupils a broad educational experience.
In Year 9, pupils begin our 3 year GCSE programme, designed to give them as much time as possible to build up a deep and comprehensive understanding of concepts prior to their exams.
In the Senior School, pupils are challenged to meet and exceed their individual targets for progression. We continue to use GL and CAT 4 tests to track progress from term to term and to help pupils become aware of their strengths and areas for focus. Every pupil receives next step targets to stretch and challenge them to progress. Our academic results are a testament to this personalised approach.
